Just 4kms from Morgan Bay, in an unsoiled estuary, two rivers join together in an embrace of epic beauty as, in unison they flow as one in a single course, through forested dunes, to the sea. A short stroll around the forested dunes, will take you to Bead Beach, (aka Treasure Beach), which heralds the site of a 16th Century Portugese shipwreck and where today still, pieces of broken Ming porcelain and Carnelian Beads, amongst a host of other long-ago treasures can still be found. This beautifully wild and untamed Nature Reserve is home to one of SA’s most picturesque campsites.
Entry fee is R20.00 per person. (Prices are subject to change).
